To obtain a Class 1 licence in Saskatchewan, you will need to pass a commercial medical and be medically approved by SGI. If you register for the online training before obtaining a Class 1 licence or endorsement, you do not need to prove you’re medically fit but it’s your responsibility to ensure you are. It would not be wise to invest your time or money in the online training only to find out later you’re not eligible for a Class 1 licence.
